Dipolma for the Renewable solar energy user 2024 awarded to Reka Cables

Solarigo Systems Oy has awarded Reka Cables the “Renewable Solar Energy User 2024” diploma. In 2024, we produced 118 MWh of solar electricity for our own use, bringing our total clean electricity production to 473 MWh.

Thanks to solar power, we have avoided a total of 45 tons of CO₂ emissions. This calculation is based on the emissions avoided through solar electricity production, using the average CO₂ emission factor for electricity generation.

The solar power plants at our Keuruu and Riihimäki production facilities were commissioned in autumn 2020, with a total of 675 solar panels installed. These solar plants are one example of Reka’s many environmental initiatives. Together with CO₂-free process electricity, they represent a concrete step towards environmental responsibility.
